Museum Mpu Purwa

Unfortunately it has a few museums, but people know more often than not the brawijaya museum. There is still the purwa museum, with its collection of hindhu Buddha artifacts.
The mpu purwa museum is located on the street of soekarno hatta no. 210, lowokwaru sprouts, poor guy. The museum's location remains in a residential neighborhood, just west of the brawijaya hospital.

In the year 2000 the government of the poor city through the educational service took the initiative to gather early treasures in and around them ina special place.
Initially all those artifacts would be stored in public libraries. With various considerations, however, in 2001 the government used the former building SDN mojolangu 2 as a haven for such historic artifacts. Over time, the building was restored to make it a fitting place to store antiquities.
Last May 2, 2004, the building was finally inaugurated by his acting mayor, a supremapto peni. The official name given was the antiquities hall of mpu purwa, otherwise known today as the mpu purwa museum.

There are a lot of historical relics at this museum, all the way from pre - historic times to Hindu buddhist. As we know, east Java has served asa witness to past kingdom glories, such as kanjuruhan, ancient mataram, singasari and majapahit. It is not surprising that here so many such artifacts and idols are known to date back to the 8th century. Unfortunately some artifacts have been damaged, supposedly by irresponsible vandalism, before being rescued.

The museum of mpu purwa is now performing with a more modern feel. Aside from the architecture of the rooms made more colorful, the museum is also equipped with a barcode scan. It means the visitors can access any primordial information in more detail.
